Arriving at Manas Airport (BSZ), Bishkek: night flights, taxi, bus and SIM
Bishkek’s airport is 30 km from the city and many international flights land in the small hours. Private car to any Bishkek hotel from $40 per car, name sign included.

Manas International Airport serves Bishkek and has used the IATA code BSZ since August 2025 (it was FRU). It is about 30 km north of the city — 35–50 minutes by car. In daytime the cheapest way in is marshrutka 380 (reported at 50 som, about 06:30–21:00) or the Go Bus shuttle (200 som); a Yandex Go taxi was quoted at 500–1,000 som. At night the marshrutka does not run, so you choose between the taxi desk, touts in the hall or a car booked ahead. Is Manas airport FRU or BSZ?
Both refer to the same airport. Airports of Kyrgyzstan changed the IATA code from FRU to BSZ in August 2025 (24.kg, 11.08.2025). Older tickets, blogs and booking sites may still show FRU; airline systems now use BSZ. Give us whichever flight number you have — we track the flight, not the code.

I land at night — what changes?
The marshrutka has stopped, the exchange counters may be closed and the hall taxis set the price. That is the moment people book us: the driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name, we follow the flight number, 60 minutes of waiting after landing are free and longer if the flight is late. Night pickups 23:00–05:59 carry a fixed +$10 shown in the calculator — no haggling at 3 a.m.
Can I go straight from Manas to Issyk-Kul, Karakol or Almaty?
Yes — no need to stop in Bishkek. Manas → Cholpon-Ata is about 4 hours, Manas → Karakol about 6.5 hours (7.5 in winter), Manas → Almaty airport through the 24-hour Korday border about 5 hours. Many people land at night and sleep in the car on the way to the lake.
What about money and SIM before I leave the airport?
Buy the SIM before baggage claim (unlimited data plans were about 495 som in 2022) and take some som from an ATM in the arrivals hall: cards vary — some machines take only Visa, some only Mastercard. Our drivers take the cash balance in som or US dollars; you can also pay 100% online and carry no cash.

What if something goes wrong?
- Late or night flight: we follow your flight number; 60 minutes of free waiting after landing, longer if the flight is delayed.
- The driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign — you do not deal with taxi touts.
- Night pickups (23:00–05:59) carry a small fixed surcharge shown in the calculator — never a surprise in the car.
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.

Does marshrutka 380 run at night?
No. It was reported running about 06:30–21:00; at night use a taxi or a car booked ahead.
How much is a taxi from Manas to Bishkek?
Travel guides report 500–1,000 som by Yandex Go and about 800 som at the desk. Our fixed private car is $40 per car.
Will the driver wait if my flight is late?
