The road
Too-Ashuu pass (3,200 m) with its tunnel, the Suusamyr valley, Ala-Bel pass (3,175 m), the Chychkan gorge, Toktogul reservoir, then down to Jalal-Abad and Osh. All asphalt; avalanche-prone sections between km 121–138 and 198–255 in winter.

- Suusamyr valley — yurts and kymys in summer.
- Toktogul reservoir viewpoint.
- Sary-Chelek or Arslanbob detours turn it into a 2-day trip.
Good to know
- In winter we only drive in daylight and on the day's road report from the Ministry of Transport. If the road is closed you choose a new date or a full refund.
- Many travellers do it in two days with a night in Suusamyr or Toktogul.

10–12 hours in summer with stops; up to 13 in winter. It is a long day — we start at 7:00.
Is it safe in winter?
The road stays open most days; avalanche closures are usually a few hours. We use winter tyres and chains, travel only in daylight and keep a free reschedule for closures.
