The road
Pamir Highway to Sary-Tash, then east along the Kyzyl-Suu valley on asphalt used by trucks to China.

Good to know
- The border is open weekdays only and closed on Chinese and Kyrgyz holidays. You cannot walk across the no-man's-land — book transport on the Chinese side (to Ulugqat/Kashgar) in advance.
- Common plan: leave Osh at 5:00 to reach the post when it opens.
