How early should I leave Karakol for my flight?
For a 4:00 departure from Manas we usually leave Karakol around 17:00–18:00, with a dinner stop and arrival at the airport by 01:00. If the arrival falls after 23:00 the night supplement is $25; in winter we leave by 14:00 to cross the Boom gorge in daylight.
Is there public transport from Karakol to the airport?
No direct service: marshrutka to Bishkek, then a taxi to Manas. A private car goes straight to the terminal.
What if the road is closed?
Lake-shore roads rarely close; if they do, we leave earlier or reroute, and you choose a new time or a full refund.
