The short answer
A car with driver in Kyrgyzstan costs $195–290 a day depending on the car on a multi-day trip, all-in except your hotels; a city day in Bishkek is from $135. Prices below are per car, updated 20 October 2026.

Per person vs per car
Tour sites show “from $112 per person” — that price usually assumes a full car and shared seats. We quote the whole car: four people in a 4x4 on a 7-day trip pay $508 each for transport.
Season
June–September is high season for Song-Kul, Kel-Suu and the Pamir side: book 2–4 weeks ahead. Song-Kul is reachable roughly June to September only. Winter (December–March) is ski season around Karakol; mountain passes may close after snowfall.

Tips
- A 4x4 is needed for Song-Kul, Kel-Suu, Tash-Rabat and the Kazarman road; Issyk-Kul and main roads are fine in a sedan or minivan.
- One-way trips (e.g. Bishkek → Osh) include the driver’s way home in the daily price.
- Border zones (Kel-Suu, Enilchek) need a permit 7+ working days ahead.

How much is a private driver in Kyrgyzstan per day?

Is the price per person or per car?
Per car. Aggregators often show “from $X per person”; our price is for the whole car and driver, however many seats you fill.
What is not included?
Your accommodation and meals, national park and entry fees, a licensed guide (+$100 a day) and kilometres above the daily limit.
How much should I tip the driver?
Not required. Many travellers give 5–10% at the end of a good multi-day trip, or $10–20 per day.
